Representatives of opposition suggested count one day of treatment as one day of punishment.
Representatives of the Party of Regions noted that in the course of treatment, a person will actually stay free, which cannot be treated as a serving a sentence. “This will be not a release but a break in serving a sentence for treatment beyond the borders of Ukraine,” they stressed.
Representatives of opposing factions agreed with such formulation.
All members of the working group upheld the suggestion to include a
number of articles of the Criminal Code into the bill. The articles will
deprive perpetrators of violent
crimes of the possibility to be treated abroad.
